Front-facing portraits with a clear, unobstructed face and a neutral or slightly smiling expression produce the best results. The face should fill a significant portion of the frame — at least 40% of the image area — and both eyes should be clearly visible. Good even lighting without harsh shadows across the face improves output quality significantly. Profile shots, heavy three-quarter angles, and images where the face is partially blocked by hair or sunglasses are harder to animate accurately. Resolution matters too — photos under 500×500 pixels produce noticeably lower quality animations than higher resolution sources.

They're derived from motion capture data of real speakers and applied statistically to each generated animation. Absolutely. This is one of the most popular workflows on the platform. The typical sequence: use AI Avatar Creator to generate a custom AI face from reference photos, then use Animate Actor to create video content from that face. The Avatar Creator produces a consistent AI likeness across all expressions and angles, which gives Animate Actor more reference information to work with and typically produces higher quality animations than working from a single source photo. Once you've created an avatar and animated it once, the animated actor is saved to your library and can deliver any future script without re-animating.

Up to 120 seconds (2 minutes) on the Starter plan, and up to 300 seconds (5 minutes) on Creator and Pro plans. Most UGC ad scripts fall well under 60 seconds, so length limits rarely affect standard ad production workflows. For long-form content — product walkthroughs, tutorial-style videos, or brand storytelling content — the 300-second limit on Creator and Pro is sufficient for most use cases.
